Description
As states and commercial entities expand their presence in an increasingly crowded and contested space domain, the need for effective governance and coordination has become more urgent. This event will examine the key challenges and opportunities in space security and sustainability, focusing on international coordination, governance and the role of great power competition. Featured experts Mariel Borowitz, Alanna Krolikowski and Bruno Reynaud de Sousa will explore how the private sector drives innovation, shapes policy and governance, and impacts national security in an evolving space environment. Understanding how the United States, Europe, and China approach these challenges is crucial to shaping effective global frameworks, and this panel discussion will assess existing policies, emerging risks and strategic pathways to ensure safe, sustainable and cooperative space operations amid increasing geopolitical and commercial activity.
The discussion will take place at the IISS-Americas office and virtually via Zoom.
